Amazon FBA Prep Services

Amazon no longer preps your inventory. That became your problem.

As of January 1, 2026, Amazon discontinued its US FBA prep and item-labeling services. Inventory now has to arrive at the fulfillment center already prepped, bagged, labeled, and compliant — or it gets rejected, returned at your cost, or disposed of. There is no longer an option to pay Amazon to fix it after the fact.

For a seller moving a few hundred units, that is an inconvenience. For a brand or importer moving pallets and truckloads, it is a production problem — and production is what we do. Complete Hand Assembly and Finishing has been a contract packaging shop in Philadelphia since 1991, with about 30 people, automatic poly bagging, high-speed shrink-wrapping, and the floor space to stage freight.

What we prep

• FNSKU & barcode labeling — applied accurately at volume, with existing barcodes covered where required.
• Poly bagging — automatic bagging with suffocation warnings, sealed and count-accurate.
• Bundling & multipacks — "sold as set" preparation, shrink-wrapped or poly-bundled so units stay together.
• Case packing & carton prep — packed, labeled, and palletized to spec.
• Inspection & sorting — catching the damaged or wrong units before Amazon does.

Why a packaging shop instead of a prep center

We are built for volume, not for parcels. Most prep centers are small operations optimized for sellers shipping a few cartons. We are a production floor with 30 sets of hands, automatic bagging, and high-speed shrink. If your freight arrives on pallets, that is the work we are set up for.

You are not waiting behind a queue of hobby sellers. We quote projects, schedule them, and run them like production jobs — because that is what they are.

Odd and urgent is normal here. Mixed SKUs, unusual bundles, a container that has to be re-prepped before a deadline — that has been our specialty for 35 years.

Minimum project: 5,000 units, or a separately quoted complex rework project. We routinely quote runs into the tens and hundreds of thousands of units. If you are sending in a few dozen units, we are not the right shop — a small prep center will serve you better.

How it works

1. Tell us what is coming — SKUs, unit count, what prep each SKU needs, and when it has to ship.
2. We quote it — free, answered within 24 hours, including whether we honestly have the capacity for your date.
3. Ship or drop your freight — we are minutes from I-95 and Roosevelt Boulevard.
4. We prep it — labeled, bagged, bundled, case-packed, and checked as we go.
5. Out to Amazon — palletized and ready, or returned to you to ship on your own account.

A note on scope

We handle secondary packaging and prep of sealed, finished goods. We do not fill, formulate, or manufacture product, and we are not a food-grade, FDA-registered, or SQF-certified facility. We are also not a fulfillment center — we prep inventory before it goes to Amazon rather than picking and shipping individual customer orders.
